The Licensing and Open Licensing Course, developed part of E³UDRES² – Ent-r-e-novators aims to offer an overview of regulations, copyright legislation and open licensing possibilities in science and education in particular. The module will develop the understanding of current international and European legislation surrounding the protection of data and of copyright laws.

Competencies: In line with the Digital competencies based on DigComp 2.2, this course will contribute to the Digital Safety competency.

Outcomes: On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Describe the principles and terms of copyright legislation;

Define your rights as a user or creator of Creative Commons;

Understand the concepts of open source;

Choose an appropriate license for your  work and evaluate the possibility of reusing others’ works depending on their licenses;

Understand different open source tools;

Define the open and free movement;

Describe open practices.

Time to complete the course:

This course is considered of 5 hours of learning activities. After you have completed all the activities, you will be able to earn the badge, issued as a micro-credential.

Participants (level B1 – B2) will be given a chance to present their speaking skills in discussions, debates, and conversations. Areas where improvement is needed will be identified in order to practice and improve them (i.e. grammar, pronunciation, intonation, use of collocations, and choice of vocabulary).
